Zasche and Vathos announce partnership

At this year’s Automatica in Munich, the world’s leading trade fair for intelligent automation and robotics, the focus was not only on presenting the latest technologies, but also on pioneering partnerships. We are particularly pleased about the cooperation between Vathos and Zasche Handling.

Vathos, which specializes in software-based solutions for machine vision, contributes its experience in AI-supported image processing. Zasche Handling, known for its robust gantry units and handling systems, is thus expanding its portfolio with intelligent software solutions that increase the efficiency and flexibility of its systems.

Specifically, the collaboration means that Zasche will offer its gantry units with Vathos’ image processing software in the future. This allows heavy workpieces in disordered positions to be detected, gripped precisely, and placed accurately. The combination of hardware and software opens up new possibilities for users in automated manufacturing—from small-batch production to highly complex assembly processes. The use of the system for depalletizing mixed pallets with heavy cardboard boxes can also reduce the workload for employees in intralogistics.

The cooperation was presented to the public for the first time at the trade fair and met with great interest among trade visitors. With this step, we and Zasche are sending a clear signal: the future of robotics lies in the seamless combination of powerful mechanics and intelligent image processing.
